When it comes to diamonds, bigger means better right?
Answer: This is not always true. When comparing two diamonds of equal quality, the larger one will always be more valuable. However, when given a price range, it is better to choose a diamond that has the best balance of quality and size. If you choose the biggest diamond for your budget, it will be yellow and full of flaws.

I want to surprise my girlfriend/wife with a ring, how do I know what ring-size to chose?
Answer: The easiest way to determine a ring size is to use one of her current rings as a sample. However, this is sometimes not possible because she never takes her rings off or doesn’t have a ring for that specific finger. If this is your situation, then the best solution is for us to take an estimated guess based on your description of her.
I was given a piece of jewellery from a relative that I no longer wear. It is very sentimental but I don’t want to let it go to waste. Any suggestions?
Answer: This is a common occurrence. We recommend designing a new piece of jewellery such as a ring or bangle. In this process, we will melt your sentimental jewellery and use the same gold to make the new piece; this way your new piece retains its sentimental value.
I’m not sure if I can afford the right engagement ring, how much do I need to spend?
Answer: The right ring doesn’t have a minimum price range or size, the perfect ring is one that you have put the time into choosing, as well as one that doesn’t exceed your budget. And remember…Edwards and Davies will credit your original diamond purchase when it comes time to upgrade!
